Find the balance
A crewneck gives the neckline of a T-shirt or shirt a chance to become part of the look. Think about the ribbing at the hem and how the fabric sits at the waist. A plain sweatshirt can also give patterned trousers or a colourful pair of shoes room to stand out.
Read the garment, not just the label
Check the composition, garment measurements and care instructions for the particular piece. Similar names can describe different cuts across collections. Measure a garment you enjoy wearing laid flat, then compare the chest, length, waist or inseam as appropriate. Keep any care treatment consistent with the label.
