Find the balance
A label is only the beginning of the comparison. Notice the cut, the feel of the material and how the garment works with your existing wardrobe. Details that matter in a photograph may be less useful in daily wear; think about pockets, movement and how the piece layers.
Read the garment, not just the label
Check the composition, garment measurements and care instructions for the particular piece. Similar names can describe different cuts across collections. Measure a garment you enjoy wearing laid flat, then compare the chest, length, waist or inseam as appropriate. Keep any care treatment consistent with the label.
